Because of its high elasticity rubber is very well suited for outsoles. Thanks to this property it supports the natural rolling motion of the foot. Rubber is also very robust and has good cushioning.

Shout out to the Chch store, I purchased my dad some Boston's online, wrong size, a bit of back and fourth and they were easy to deal with, and he ended up with some tokio's which have been great for him while recovering from foot and ankle surgery"
